At Kearney, Neb.: Payden Ackerman hit four 3-pointers to set a Colorado-Colorado Springs freshman record for 3s made in a season (44). Jennine Sauter had 41 in 2003-04. UCCS fell to 8-14 (6-8 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference).
No. 2 Oklahoma 69, Kansas 54
LAWRENCE, Kan. - Courtney Paris had 15 rebounds and nine points, failing to score in double figures for only the second time in her career, and Amanda Thompson helped pick up the slack with 16 points in No. 2 Oklahoma's 69-54 victory against Kansas on Saturday night.
Paris, a 6-foot-4 senior, tied her career low in scoring and played 26 minutes. The Big 12's leading career score was 3-for-7 from the field for the Sooners (22-2l, 10-0).
The Sooners kept giving up good looks to Kansas, but the hapless Jayhawks hit only four of their first 28 shots, missing time after time from nearly point-blank range before warming up in the second half. Danielle McCray had 23 points for Kansas (13-10, 2-8).
It was the 18th victory in a row for the Sooners and their 11th straight over Kansas.
Paris failed to get a double-double for just the sixth time in 124 games. But the All-American had two blocks, marking the 36th time in her career he's blocked at least one shot.
No. 6 Stanford 58, No. 3 California 41
STANFORD, Calif. - Jayne Appel scored 22 points and had 14 rebounds, Jillian Harmon added 18 points and No. 6 Stanford overcame its lowest scoring half of the season to beat No. 3 California 58-41 on Saturday night.
The Cardinal snapped the Golden Bears' 12-game winning streak and put the Bay Area rivals into a tie for first place in the Pac-10 standings. Arizona State is a half-game back.
Appel scored five points in the first half when Stanford (20-4, 11-1) was held to 18.
But the junior center went 5-for-7 from the field in the second half, allowing Stanford to avoid being swept by Cal for the first time since 1985-86.
Ashley Walker and Laura Greif scored 10 points apiece for the Bears (20-3, 11-1).
No. 7 Baylor 72, Missouri 43
WACO, Texas - Danielle Wilson had 26 points, 13 rebounds and four blocked shots to lead Baylor.
Wilson, who was 11-of-13 shooting and matched her career scoring high, scored the game's first basket and blocked Missouri's first shot attempt. The Lady Bears never trailed.
Baylor (21-3, 9-2 Big 12) won its fourth straight game since back-to-back home losses against conference-leading Oklahoma and Texas. The Lady Bears, alone in second place in the Big 12, have a week off before playing at the Sooners next Saturday.
Jessra Johnson led Missouri (11-12, 2-8) with 10 points and eight rebounds.
No. 10 Louisville, 67, Cincinnati 52
CINCINNATI - Angel McCoughtry scored 33 points and made the decisive plays down the stretch, helping Louisville extend the best start in school history.
Up by only two at halftime, the Cardinals (23-3, 10-2 Big East) pulled it out behind their all-time leading scorer, who had her fifth 30-point game of the season. The senior guard scored 25 in the second half.
Kahla Roudebush scored 22 points for Cincinnati (13-11, 3-8), which has lost seven straight, including a pair of games against the Cardinals.
No. 12 Texas A&M 79, Colorado 50
COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Tanisha Smith had 15 points and 10 rebounds to lead Texas A&M its sixth straight win over Colorado.
Texas A&M (19-5, 7-4 Big 12) never trailed and at one point pushed the lead to 50-24 after a layup by Adaora Elonu with about 15 minutes left.
The Buffaloes (10-12, 2-8) were led by Brittany Spears who had 25 points and 10 rebounds.
Danielle Gant and Tyra White added 12 points apiece for Texas A&M, and Takia Starks had 11.
Villanova 50, No. 25 DePaul 46
VILLANOVA, Pa. - Maria Getty scored 12 points, Laura Kurz added 10 points and nine rebounds and Villanova won its seventh straight game.
Lisa Karcic contributed eight points to reach 1,000 for her career, and the Wildcats (17-8, 9-2 Big East) won their second in a row against a ranked opponent. Villanova defeated No. 13 Notre Dame 55-48 on Jan. 24.
Villanova improved to 9-2 in the Big East for the first time since the 1994-95 season, and won its eighth straight conference game, matching its longest streak since 2004.
Sam Quigley scored 13 points and Natasha Williams added 11 for DePaul (19-7, 7-5).
