Tulowitzki on board Rockies' pursuit of Michael Cuddyer

LAS VEGAS — After 7 a.m. yoga, a grueling hour of interval training and multiple rounds in the batting cage, Troy Tulowitzki admitted there was something that could help even more next season than his daily workouts.

Michael Cuddyer, anyone?

"I think our lineup is one of the better ones in the National League, but it would be huge to get another bat," Tulowitzki said Wednesday. "I have heard nothing but good things about Cuddyer."

The Rockies remain a finalist to land the free-agent outfielder, talking again with his camp on multiple occasions. Colorado is believed to have the biggest offer to Cuddyer, approaching $30 million over three years. Rockies players have talked to Cuddyer, hoping to convince him to make the switch to the NL.
