Dawkins, Harris among question marks for Thursday
Comments 0 | Recommend 0ENGLEWOOD – The Denver Broncos didn’t practice Monday, three days before a Thanksgiving game against the New York Giants, but they did have to put out an injury report per NFL rules.
So the Broncos estimated the various participation levels of their injured players, which revealed that Denver has some question marks surrounding a couple of key players.
Offensive tackle Ryan Harris and safety Brian Dawkins were the biggest names among those that would not have practiced had Denver held an official workout today. Harris has missed three straight games with a toe injury. Dawkins left Sunday’s game with a neck injury and was replaced by rookie Darcel McBath. Broncos coach Josh McDaniels offered no update on his status after the game. Running back LaMont Jordan (back) also would have been unable to practice.
The good news for Denver is quarterback Kyle Orton would have been able to practice in full, according to the team. Orton didn’t start Sunday because of a left ankle injury, but said after the game he didn’t have a setback and will start against the Giants on Thursday.
