Charges against Broncos' Quinn dismissed

THE GAZETTE

Charges stemming from a September arrest were dismissed against Broncos tight end Richard Quinn.

Quinn, a second-round draft pick by Denver last year, was arrested in September on harassment and domestic violence charges. According to the Associated Press, Quinn’s live-in girlfriend told police Quinn grabbed and shook her during an argument.

“We’re happy the district attorney saw there wasn’t enough evidence to go forward,” Quinn’s agent Peter Schaffer said. “We hope this completely clears Richard’s name. He’s as solid a character person as there is, and we’re moving on.”

Quinn played in 15 games for the Broncos this season. He was Denver’s second tight end in the regular-season finale with Tony Scheffler deactivated.
