Roe tosses second straight gem for Sox
Chaz Roe is figuring out the Pacific Coast League.
Roe followed a complete game victory earlier in the week with eight innings of one-run ball at Las Vegas for his third consecutive victory as the Sky Sox pounded the 51s 10-1 on Saturday.
Roe (4-7) gave up seven hits, two walks and struck out three. The lone run came on a home run with his team up by nine runs.
Matt Miller was one of three Sky Sox hitters with three hits. Miller extended his hitting streak to 14 games and raised his average to .332.
Dexter Fowler went 1-for-6, falling below .400 (.391, 18-for-46) for the first time since joining Colorado Springs.
The Denver Post reported that Huston Street will remain in Triple-A for at least three more appearances. Street had hoped to be activated for Tuesday’s game at Minnesota, but the team decided his recent struggles warranted a longer look in the minors.
