The top 10 things to look for in sports this week (starting Monday):

No. 10: The U.S. faces Croatia in the Davis Cup tennis quarterfinals Friday to Sunday.

No. 9: The Lifelock.com 400 runs at Chicagoland Speedway on Saturday.

No. 8: There is a public event at the OTC for Olympic Day from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday.

No. 7: The U.S. men's soccer faces Honduras on Wednesday and Haiti on Saturday in the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

No. 6: The U.S. Swimming championships are in Indianapolis on Tuesday to Saturday.

No. 5: The RMAC Centennial Celebration will be Saturday night at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort.

No. 4: The Tour de France goes through its first week, which sets the tone for the grueling event.

No. 3: The NHRA Mile-High Nationals are Friday to Sunday at Morrison's Bandimere Speedway.

No. 2: The Rockies host Washington on Monday to Wednesday and Atlanta on Thursday to Sunday.

No. 1: Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo goes Wednesday to Saturday at Norris-Penrose Event Center. The ProRodeo Hall of Fame inducations will be Saturday.

Also receiving votes:
- The Sky Sox are at Portland on Monday and Tuesday and Salt Lake on Wednesday to Sunday. Eric Young Jr., representing the Sky Sox, is in the Futures Game on Sunday.

- The U.S. Senate will hold a Tuesday hearing on antitrust issues and the BCS.

- Shooting nationals begin Saturday at Fort Carson.

- The Rapids host Dallas on Saturday.

- Former WNBA player Jackie Stiles hosts her annual hoop camp at ECA on Monday.

- Sand Creek mountain bike series continues Wednesday.

Harrison school district closer to pay for performance for teachers
Should teacher pay be based on performance?
Yes. Teachers should be rewarded for good work, and poor performers should be weeded out.
No. Pay for performance is just a back-door way of blaming teachers for other problems in the education system.
It depends on what "performance" means. It's good if there's a fair measurement of performance.
