The Sky Sox mustered only two hits Sunday in a 3-1 loss to the Beavers at PGE Park in Portland, Ore.

Dan Ortmeier gave Colorado Springs a first-inning lead when he drove in Eric Young Jr. with a sacrifice fly, but the Sky Sox couldn't maintain their momentum as the Beavers evened the series 1-1.

After Mike McCoy's single in the third inning, the Sky Sox failed to produce another hit.

The Beavers, who recorded nine hits off Adam Eaton (3-2) and two more off Scott Munter, tied the score in the fifth inning when Mike Baxter hit a home run to right field.

The go-ahead run came two innings later when Valentino Pascucci's line-drive single to center field brought Baxter home.

Portland added an insurance run in the eighth when Sean Kazmar scored after an error by Young.

Wade LeBlanc (2-5) earned the win while Eulogio De La Cruz worked the ninth for his fifth save.
