Texas Southern at Air Force: Three things to watch
1. Getting back in the groove
The Falcons have won four straight games, but have not played since a Dec. 13 win over Texas-Pan American. Air Force will look to pick up where it left off, relying on shooting accuracy. In their last four games, the Falcons are shooting better than 52 percent from 3-point range. Senior Andrew Henke matched his career-high 23 points in the Falcons' last win over UTPA, while fellow senior Anwar Johnson leads the team with more than 14 points per game.
2. Road weary Tigers
Winless in its first 11 games, Texas Southern has not yet played a game at home. The Tigers' first home game will be Saturday. But first, the Tigers will battle the Falcons as well as the altitude and fatigue in their fourth game in six days. The Tigers, who have struggled against ranked opponents including No. 5 Texas and No. 8 Gonzaga, have lost four times by a 20-point margin or greater.
3. No Hall passes
Texas Southern junior guard DeAndre Hall leads the Tigers with more than 13 points per game, and has played well for the Tigers against top opponents. Hall scored 29 during the Tigers' 82-51 loss to Cincinnati on Dec. 19, and scored 19 against both No. 24 Marquette and Arkansas.
