Mesa Ridge and Mitchell opened their seasons Saturday afternoon at Garry Berry Stadium.

Olympic gold medalist softball player Jennie Finch threw out the first pitch and signed autographs Monday at a Colorado Springs Sky Sox game at Security Service Field. Finch will return to the Springs next week to host a softball camp.
